We are constantly striving to lessen our impact on the planet and its resources.

Glass bottles, paper, daily printed menus and cardboard are re-cycled to ease the burden on landfill.

Any food waste is collected and used to feed our goats, chickens, ducks and dogs at our other business The Beeches Farmhouse.

Where possible we use local suppliers and are constantly on the look out for more so if you think you have products that may be suitable to us do get in touch.

We have recently taken delivery of six 'Gloucester Old Spot' piglets to raise on our field behind the hotel and to later feature on our menu in the form of pork, bacon and sausages. If this goes well then we may consider increasing the number of pigs or keeping free range hens.

We are currently considering the effectiveness of eco friendly cleaning and laundry products.

Before the winter we are looking to move to more energy efficient condensing boilers although we are also looking at systems to move entirely away from fossil fuels if at all possible or feasible.

We have been advised to install a log burner in the bar as with an open fireplace the majority of the heat goes up the large chimney.

When staying or eating at The Wyndham if you do have any ideas on how we can make ourselves more sustainable then do let us know.
