Pets Innvited

'This is the most dog-friendly accomodation we have ever stayed in. The staff could not have been more helpful or accomodating, even setting up a breakfast table in the bar so we could have the dogs with us. Nothing was too much trouble.' Mr & Mrs Hands.

With our hotel being situated between the picturesque Forest of Dean and The Wye Valley we feel it is only right to be dog friendly. For dog walkers especially, we have numerous signposted walks just a few miles away and of course there are countless others waiting to be stumbled upon.

For these reasons dogs are more than welcome to join you whilst you enjoy your stay at our hotel. Your furry friends are welcome in all of the rooms we have to offer, as well as the bar area but not The 'Old Spot' Country Restaurant. However we encourage guests to allow their dogs to accompany them as they eat in our traditional bar where our same excellent menu applies. In the winter months this becomes the focal point of the hotel with our open log fire. Your dog is allowed to be left unaccompanied in the room but we leave this up to your judgement. If you decide not to, for example at breakfast, it is no trouble, as we will simply lay a table specially for you and your dog in the bar.

If you choose to bring your four legged friend with you, please make note of when making your reservation whether it be online or over the phone. Rosie - Feb 11

Our housekeeping staff service every room, every day so please bear this in mind if you decide to leave your dog unaccompanied in your room.

Dogs are always popular in the bar and attract a lot of fuss and attention from staff and other guests alike.

We hope you decide to stay with us and bring your furry friends to enjoy the picturesque Forest of Dean as well as our hospitality.
