Distance from Clearwell 21 miles
Ross-on-Wye is a very scenic and quite undulating woodland type golf course, its fairways bordered by a rich variety of silver birch trees, oaks and pines: you can play a round here and only rarely see another group of golfers so self-contained are the holes.
Ross-on-Wye is a course that rewards straight hitting, a feature compounded by the generally small and slick nature of the putting surfaces. Measuring close to 6500 yards, the layout includes a number of cleverly designed short par fours and, on the back nine in particular, a series of strong, 420-yards plus holes - overall, a nice balance of charm and challenge.
