Salmon Fishing

At just three miles away is one of the finest fisheries on the River Wye, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with an average annual catch of some 150 salmon. There is excellent water and all the beats can be easily fished by spinning. The fishery covers 2.5 miles of double bank fishing located midway between the Border Towns of Monmouth and Chepstow. It is fished as eight beats with a maximum of two rods per beat. The beat is fished on a rotational basis with the change over of beats occurring at 1pm daily.

There is a well appointed fishing hut and easy access to all beats. An experienced gillie is in attendance daily to give help and advice, and expert tuiton can be arranged upon request.

This is available during the salmon season from 3rd March to 17th October 2010.

At the hotel we can offer a double or twin room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis for £375 for two nights stay and one days' fishing for two persons.

Two, double or twin rooms for single occupancy on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis would be £415 in total.
