CHRISTMAS BREAKS 2014

'Like a house party with distant relatives'.

Just spent a wonderful three days at the Wyndham Arms Hotel over the Xmas period.......pet friendly in every sense of the word.......most hotels say they are pet friendly but this is one of the only times we have actually felt that it was both meant and practiced......We had a lovely warm welcome from all the staff at the hotel and we were greeted with tea, coffee, hot scones with cream and jam.......the bar had a lovely Xmas feeling, and attention to detail was obvious I from the bowls of satsumas and nuts everywhere to the selection of board games........we had a room in the annex and again we really couldn't complain. The room was a lovely size and you didn't feel claustrophobic.....the bed was huge, a real plus point.......we had both a shower and a bath to choose from and the bathroom was a really good size.....not your normal cupboard size room!!!!
All the meals we ate at the restaurant were really good, the choice excellent and the service efficient with really friendly, pleasant staff. For us the Utting family.......all the staff at the Wyndham Arms Hotel made our Xmas one we can remember for all the right reasons.(Christmas 2013) Taken from TripAdvisor.

Great location. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great company. Went for three night Christmas break and it has to go down as one of the best short breaks we have had. The staff were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. (Special thanks to Thom) Have stayed in more glamorous hotels, but not ones that would welcome our stupid chocolate lab (Duke) Tip of the trip, if you have a dog eat in the bar (we managed one meal in the restaurant prior to being advised that there was a lot of noise from a needy dog in our room) In the bar there was such a relaxed atmosphere and maybe we were lucky with the great bunch of people (and dogs) who were there but the interaction and humor was constant.
Made great friends, had wonderful walks and would go back again like a shot. (Christmas 2013) Taken from TripAdvisor.
