BOOKING NOW FOR 2012!
What a lovely way to spend Christmas the smell of the log fire the
beautiful old building all our food was excellently presented with
plenty of choice, we took our children and grandchildren plus the two
dogs. lots of little thoughts were put in by the staff, from presents
for everybody on Christmas day including the dogs to chocolates and nuts
on the tables in the bar.
ALL THE STAFF were great and made us feel at home from the moment we got there. The area is of outstanding beauty with great walks and the location for walking is perfect. Will recommend Christmas at The Wyndhan Arms to all our friends.
The Baker Family (Christmas 2011)
We stayed from 24th to 27th Dec and could not have wished for better
company, accommodation, food and entertainment... Christmas day was all
it could be and more, lovely open fire to gather by and toast the day,
delicious food and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Given a choice I
would personally spend every Christmas in this beautiful 13th century
Inn and spend many happy Boxing days visiting the beautiful surrounding
areas such as Tintern where we walked from the Abbey to the Devils
Pulpit this year to admire the wonderful scenery.Well done one and all, very enjoyable visit had by all!! Thank you. Victoria (Christmas 2011)
Spent Christmas at the Wyndham Arms with all the family and our little
dog and it was brilliant. My wife and I have stayed here before with the
dog for walking breaks, but it was first time for Jill's Mum, the
grown-up children and our grandaughter, who were blown away with the
quality of the food, the warm welcome and the great relaxed atmosphere.
And to be able to have the dog with us was a real bonus as we could
never fit them all in at home! Charlie was his usual chirpy, cheeky
self, fussing the dog before even speaking to us. And his "Pub kwuz"
with "talking" vegetables was a real hoot! Thanks Charlie, Nigel and all
- you really made our Christmas special and just like being at home. John (Christmas 2011)
Nigel and his staff have found the perfect formula! Even carrying a heavy heart from losing our much loved Golden Retriever just four weeks before our Christmas break at the Wyndham we managed to enjoy the excellent hosting, superb food and great company all set in a building that just oozes pleasant memories of past years with roaring fires and contented dogs (and their owners). On behalf of all our party of six we thank Nigel, Charlie and all their staff, nothing was too much trouble.
IN OUR OPINION THIS GETS A 5 STAR RATING - Mr & Mrs Wells (Christmas 2011)
I would like to thank you and all your staff for making our stay over Christmas one of the most enjoyable Christmas’s we have ever spent. Everything was excellent, the accommodation, the food, the hospitality, the cheerful helpful staff who made us and our little dog feel very welcome. We would not hesitate to recommend your Hotel and look forward to visiting you again in the summer. - Mr & Mrs McCuster (Christmas 2011)
